Tata Motors has implemented a significant pricing revision for the Curvv.ev, offering incentives of up to ₹3.80 lakh on the electric coupe SUV. This strategic adjustment occurs as the manufacturer prepares for the market entry of the Sierra.ev later this year, a move designed to streamline its electric vehicle lineup and mitigate potential sales overlap between the two models.
Powertrain and Performance Specifications
The Curvv.ev is built on two distinct battery configurations tailored to different range and performance requirements:
- 45kWh Battery Pack: This unit generates 148bhp and 215Nm of peak torque, providing a claimed driving range of 430km.
- 55kWh Battery Pack: The higher-capacity variant produces 165bhp and 215Nm of torque, extending the certified range to 502km.
Interior Features and Safety Standards
The cabin of the Curvv.ev is equipped with a variety of modern technologies aimed at enhancing the user experience. The feature list includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. For occupant comfort, the vehicle offers ventilated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.
On the safety front, the Curvv.ev has secured a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP (BNCAP). Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, while higher trims feature a Level 2 ADAS suite and a 360-degree camera system for improved situational awareness.
Pricing and Incentive Breakdown
The current incentive structure is designed to improve the value proposition of the existing inventory. The Creative 45 variant is eligible for a total benefit of ₹3.30 lakh, which includes a ₹2.5 lakh “Green Bonus” in addition to exchange and loyalty rewards. All other variants receive a ₹3 lakh Green Bonus, bringing the total potential savings to ₹3.80 lakh.
Before these incentives are applied, the Curvv.ev is priced between ₹18.39 lakh and ₹23.29 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This pricing strategy is expected to clear the way for the Sierra.ev, which will join Tata’s expanding EV portfolio to compete in the mid-size electric SUV segment.
