Dubbed the “Star Edition,” this upcoming variant focuses on a darkened aesthetic theme and is expected to be positioned as a premium lifestyle offering within the range.

Leaked images of the Star Edition, which is based on the top-tier AX7 L trim, reveal a shift toward a darker interior palette. Unlike the standard Ivory White or Mocha Brown options currently available, this variant introduces several specific cabin modifications:
- A black-finished dashboard and matching leatherette upholstery.
- Darker interior trim accents to complement the revised seating.
- Retention of the beige roof liner and select door panel elements to maintain a dual-tone contrast.
Exterior Styling and Visual Enhancements
On the outside, the Star Edition adopts a comprehensive “blacked-out” treatment. The most significant departure from the standard AX7 L is the inclusion of all-black alloy wheels, replacing the traditional dual-tone or metallic finishes. When paired with the Stealth Black exterior paint, the vehicle presents a more uniform, monochromatic appearance. Other structural components, such as the grille, lighting clusters, and bumpers, remain identical to the standard model.
Powertrain and Mechanical Specifications
The Star Edition is strictly a cosmetic update, with no mechanical revisions reported. It will continue to utilize Mahindra’s existing engine lineup:

- 2.2-liter diesel engine.
Both powerplants will be available with manual and automatic transmission choices, depending on the specific drivetrain configuration selected by the buyer. No changes to the suspension or off-road hardware are expected.

This new variant follows Mahindra’s established strategy of introducing limited or special editions, such as the previous Earth Edition, to maintain consumer interest throughout the product lifecycle.
